Meet the owner, Chanel Picquelle
I’m a “small town girl” from Blythe, California. As I invite you into my studio, I want to first share a little background about who I am, where I came from and why I decided to move my family and business across country to Nashville, Tennessee. I feel it’s important for every single person that walks into my studio to know a little about me and the ‘why’ behind KURVE! Connecting on a business level is important but I feel connecting on a personal level is just as important…so here we go!
I moved to North County San Diego in 2009, met my husband in 2012 and started my family by the California Coast in San Diego, CA. We became apart of a small coastal community very quickly, loving its “small town” feel and laid back beach vibe.
Long story short, after years of corporate work loads and working for someone else’s dream, I decided to start working towards my own dream!
There was something missing In my heart. I needed to take a chance at something that I was passionate about. Being the artsy person I am and with the booming industry of permanent cosmetic makeup, in 2018 I decided to attend one of the top PMU training schools in the country. My first day in training I instantly fell in love with the trade and the industry! After becoming certified in permanent makeup, I quit my day job with the help and support of my husband and never looked back!
With years in the industry gaining personal growth in my own business, and the art of microblading and lip blushing, I decided I wanted to expand my skills in Fine Line Tattooing, which i’ve come to absolutely love!
While working my butt off perfecting my new skills, I was also working on something so special to me…With that being said, I am also the proud owner of Kurve Academy, established in 2020. I have such a strong passion to help others fulfill their own passions in the industry. I love mentoring passionate artists that have DRIVE to be successful and then watching them grow in the industry.
After years of hitting the ground running in San Diego County, God had a bigger plan for me and my family. After COVID19 and the unexpected loss of my Dad, we had had enough of California. We packed up our home and my business and moved cross country to Tennessee! When it came to business, I quickly adapted to the community and opened Kurve Beauty Studio & Academy in the Nashville area in December 2021. Kurve is located in the Belle Meade area of Nashville.
My studio is a strong reflection of the person I am, from my style to my personal vibe and I hope you have a fun and relaxing experience when you come to visit… I invite all to come and get cozy while you treat yourselves to the day you most certainly deserve!
